Graduating with an M.A. in Spanish and Portuguese from The University of Glasgow, Frank began his career in teaching and translation before finding his way into Investment Banking. Having worked at various tier-one Firms (Merrill Lynch, Citigroup and UBS) across a whole variety of Operations and Middle Office Management roles, Frank has finally settled in Buy-Side financial services recruitment. In his spare time, Frank enjoys travelling and exploring new places, being  outdoors with his dog, gym, skiing, cooking, reading and film.

  1. What was your first job? My first full-time job was as a Teaching Assistant at University of Castilla-La-Mancha (Toledo-Spain); My first part-time job was working weekends in Asda.
  2. What’s the best piece of advice you could give someone? Think before you speak.
  3. What’s the skill you’d most like to have? More patience.
  4. What would be your perfect day away from work? A seat (sea-facing) on an empty beach on a very windy day.unusual-brighton-vwd-2
  5. What’s your favourite holiday destination? For somewhere I’ve already been it has to be the Maldives. China is on my tick-list!
  6. What are you passionate about? Anything to do with dogs, and not just my own.
  7. What’s your greatest business achievement? Making the leap from Investment Banking to Financial Services Recruitment #boom
  8. What’s your greatest personal achievement? Being me!
  9. What’s your favourite quote or motto? I have too many to choose a favourite – some of my key go-to quotes include: Tell me who your friends are and I will tell you who you are/ Actions speak louder than words/ Art is love made public/ If you can see the invisible you can do the impossible…… I could go on and on…

  11. What’s your favourite pastime/ relaxation activity? Walking with my dog.
  12. What’s the best/worst quality in a leader? The best quality a leader can possess is to be an active listener. The worst is an inflated ego.
  13. What can’t you live without? Music!
  14. If you weren’t in your current role, what would you be doing? Property development – I think. Either that or travelling.
  15. Name one person you’d like to have dinner with (and why)? Richard Branson – I love his philosophy on life and his story.
  16. What is your favourite film (and why)? I have so many……. Manchester by the Sea is one of my recent brainblasters; Trainspotting (1&2), Tacones Lejanos, Mujeres al borde de un Ataque de Nervios, Volver, El Laberinto…..   17. If you could have any superpower what would it be (and why)? The ability to mind-read because it would be so much fun!
  18. What in life are you most grateful for? My health.
  19. What is your most treasured memory? My happy memories of those people and animals who have since passed away :0)
